Kaipupu Point is a protected wildlife sanctuary located right next to Picton. The area is protected by predator proof fence, meaning the only way it can be accessed is by water. Even though access to the Sanctuary is free, you will need to factor in the cost of a water taxi or ferry to visit. You can also access by kayak.
