Brilliance of the Seas is the younger sister to Radiance of the Seas, who may be known to quite a few aussie cruisers. Launched in 2001, Brilliance of the Seas is one of the smaller Royal Caribbean ships with a capacity of 2,543 passengers.

Brilliance of the Seas features include an indoor adult solarium, self-leveling pool tables, and many areas with floor to ceiling windows providing spectacular views from the comfort of inside the ship.

Unlike the larger indoor spaces on Royals other classes of ships, Brilliance's layout is centered around a central atrium which is the bustling heart of the ship.

Brilliance of the Seas will sail from Sydney, starting in October 2023 after a 17 night transpacific cruise from Hawaii.

Virgin Voyages

New brand on the block, Virgin Voyages began sailing in 2020 - with its maiden season interrupted by the covid-19 pandemic - with their first ship 'Scarlet Lady'. Virgin Voyages is an adults only cruise line, marketed to the younger cruise demographic. They focus on a more casual style of vacation for their passengers (called 'sailors') with a range of complementary restaurants onboard to choose from at any time, no drink packages - with juices, softdrink, tea/coffee included, and wifi included in your fare.
